When it comes to sponsorships, some people need them and others dont. I however, do. Sponsorships make it a little easier on your wallet. If you are the kind that really doesnt want a sponsorship but could use a little financial help, then you can try to get 'donations', have a yard sale, or even a bake sale or a car wash( the last two are usually desperate last attempts).

Here's a couple of ideas to get started...



1. Donations-



*** Call or visit a few small businesses like, small car dealerships, restaraunts, automotive supply stores, etc. When you get a hold of some one, ask them to make a $5, $10, or $15 donation. Tell them what the money will be used for. You may want to toss up the option to paint their business name on your car, they like this because it is free advertisement.

*** Ask some of your friends and family to make $5 or $10 donations. You can also toss up the idea to paint their names on your car.

*** Let them know (if you are willing to put there name on your car) the more money, the bigger their name is on your car.

*** You do not necessarily have to mention the idea of painting thier names on the cars.....ESPECIALLY if they only make a donation of $5.



2. Sponsorships-



*** Basically, the same rules apply as getting donations.

*** Try small AND big businesses, especially junkyards!!!

*** Sponsorships are usually $50 to $100+

*** I like to gather pics of your cars and a little info about the cars and the general way you build them (without giving away the little secrets you have). I like this, becauase it gives them a little insight of what it takes to build a car.

*** People who give a sponsorship to someone usually expects to have their name on the car.

*** The more money, the bigger the name.



3. If all else fails-



*** YARD SALE- This is a great way to get of some of your stuff and make money for your cars! When we did this, we also had a change jar for donations.....this did very well!

*** You could have a bake sale at the same time...we did and it did very well also.

*** BAKE SALE- Hmmmm, not usually recommended, but it can be done.

*** CAR WASH- This will only work if you have a set of b**bs and some nice legs.
